The Pitt-Greensburg women's tennis team saw its three-match winning streak come to an end Tuesday evening, falling to Waynesburg University, 5-2, at the Bechtle Family Tennis Facility.
Pitt-Greensburg's lone doubles victory came at No. 1, with Gabi Moder and Karen Rabe to defeat Waynesburg, 6-4. Waynesburg answered with two victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take the early advantage.
At No.1 singles, Gabi Moder continued her impressive start to the season, cursing past Matsaudza, 6-2, 6-1. Karen Rabe followed at No. 2 singles, earning a straight set victory over Luzar, 6-1, 6-4.
Waynesburg, however, responded with collecting the remaining four singles points to secure the 5-2 team victory.
Despite the setback, Pitt-Greensburg now moves to 3-1 on the season, and will look to bounce back Friday, September 11th, when they travel to Washington & Jefferson.
