The Pitt-Greensburg tennis teams took the court at W&J on Sept. 11th with both men's and women's squads facing tough completion against the Presidents.   

Men's Tennis 

The Pitt-Greensburg men's tennis team fell to W&J, 7-0.  

The Presidents grabbed control early in doubles play, taking all three matches. At No. 1 doubles, Jack Schiffhauer and Ryan Cole fell 6-0, while Mason Wolf and Sam Vogel dropped No. 2 matches with the same score. At No. 3 Daniel Cipcic and Mitchell Demoise battled before falling 6-1.  

Jack Schiffhauer fought No. 1 singles before falling 6-0, 6-1. Ryan Cole dropped his No. 2 match, 6-1, 6-0, while Mason Wolf competed in No. 3 singles in a 6-0, 6-1 setback. Sam Vogel at No. 4 singles lost 6-0, 6-0. At No. 5 was Daniel Capri who was defeated 6-0, 6-1, while Mitchell Demoise finished the singles lineup with a 6-0, 6-0 loss at No. 6.  

Women's Tennis  

The Pitt-Greensburg women's tennis team also dropped a 7-0 decision against W&J.  

The Presidents opened the match by sweeping all three doubles contests. Gabi Moder and Sophia Lepore fell 6-0 at No. 1, while Karen Rabe and Jazzy Cherry dropped the No. 2 spot 6-0. At No. 3 doubles Audrey Johnson and Emily Spino had a 6-0 upset.  

In singles, Gabi Moder battled at No. 1 before the match ended with a forced withdrawal, while No. 2 Karen Rabe's match also ended because of a forced withdrawal.  

The remaining four matches were completed, while Sophia Lepore fell 6-1, 6-0. At No. 4 Jazzy Cherry dropped her match 6-1, 6-1, while Audrey Johnson at No. 5 battled and lost 6-0, 6-0. The final singles match at No. 6 was Emily Spino, who lost 6-0, 6-0.  

The Bobcats will look to regroup and bounce back with women's tennis playing on September 12th at Penn State Behrend, and the men battling on September 14th against Saint Vincent College.
