Dallas Kawai

Dallas Kawai enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Bobcats. Dallas will assist with player development and practice instruction.
He graduated with a bachelors degree from Northern Arizona University in 2001. Prior to that, he played collegiate basketball at College of the Redwoods (1996-1997) and Penn State New Kensington (1997-1998) where he was an academic all conference and dean's list recipient.

Dallas is a native of Hawaii. He graduated from St. Louis High School in 1996, where he won an ILH league championship in basketball and played on a USA Today nationally ranked football program that won 13 consecutive state championships (1987-99) and sent several players to the NFL including former Steeler Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala.


He resides in the Pittsburgh area with his wife Melissa and son Maxwell (1). Prior to moving to the Pittsburgh area in 2011, Dallas worked in corporate recruiting in New York City for several years and continues to work in the recruiting field.
