Chuck Wigle enters his third season as an assistant coach with the Pitt-Greensburg Men’s Soccer Program. Wigle a 1998 graduate of local St. Vincent College was a team captain of the Bearcat men’s soccer squad in both the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
Wigle’s coaching career began in 1999 when he took over the U-14 Foothills Soccer Club Team. He took over a team that had won just six games the previous year and in his first year at the helm increased the team’s winning total to 12 in just one season. In 2003 he led his Foothills squad to the PA West State Championship game.
In 2001 Wigle was named the Assistant Boys Varsity Soccer Coach and Head Junior Varsity Coach at his alma mater Penn Trafford High School and helped lead the varsity program to three section titles during his tenure. He also spent three seasons as the assistant coach of the Penns Forest Soccer Club’s U-16 program, where he played an integral role in the programs second ever PA West Championship.
Wigle also is entering his first season as the head coach of Pitt-Greensburg's women's soccer program.
