The 2015 season will mark Josh Weiss’ first as an assistant coach.
Weiss previously served as an undergraduate assistant coach in 2013 and 2014. His playing days concluded in 2012 after a three year career at Pitt-Greensburg, being named captain in 2011 and 2012. Prior to his arrival in Greensburg, Weiss was a member of the Division II institution the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
In his second year as an undergraduate assistant coach, Weiss helped the Bobcats experience their best season in a decade. Pitt-Greensburg finished 2014 with a 12-7-1 record, good enough for third in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, their highest regular season placing in ten years. They also hosted and won a playoff game for the first time since 2004.
Originally from Penn Hills, PA, Weiss graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg with degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology.
