Marc Bucci enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Pitt-Greensburg men’s soccer team.
In his first season with the Bobcats, Bucci helped lead the team to a four-win improvement over the 2016 season, which included wins in the final two games to end the season. Bucci’s first season on the sidelines concluded with arguably the most exciting game of the season, a 3-2 overtime victory over Penn State Altoona.
Bucci is a 2009 graduate of Plum High School where he played center midfielder and was a four-year varsity letter winner. Bucci was also a part of the 2005-06 WPIAL varsity championship team that went 22-2-1. His high school achievements include being voted to the All-Section team his junior and senior seasons, along with being named a team captain and a member of the All-WPIAL team his senior season.
Bucci played his collegiate soccer at Pitt-Johnstown from 2009-2012 where he started as a center midfielder all four seasons and was team captain for three seasons. Bucci garnered WVIAC honorable mention honors for the 2009 and 2012 seasons.
Bucci has previous coaching experience as a head coach at Gateway High School, and as a student-assistant coach at Pitt-Johnstown. He currently coaches for the Allegheny Force Football Club located in the Pittsburgh area.
Bucci is also certified with the USSF and has earned his “D” and “E” licenses.
