Bobcat volleyball powers past Chatham, 3-0
Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa: The Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball team won in convincing fashion Thursday evening as they defeated Chatham University 3-0.
Freshman
Amanda Ross recorded 10 kills and 5 aces while sophomore
Lauren Tassone added 10 kills and 4 aces to lead the attack. Newcomers
Renee' Ault and
Kara Barclay added 7 kills apiece. Sophomore setter
Paige Misawic set the attack with 26 assists on the night.
The Bobcats cruised in the first set winning 25-11 before holding off the Cougars in the second set, 25-18. UPG finished off Chatham with a dominating 25-11 third set to take the match.
Pitt-Greensburg (2-15) hopes to carry the momentum into conference play as the open their AMCC schedule this weekend at home with a double header against rivals Penn State Behrend and Pitt-Bradford. The Bobcats will square off Saturday (Sept 27) with Behrend at 12pm followed by a matchup against Pitt-Bradford at 4pm.
