GREENSBORO, NC: On day two of the Guilford College Holiday Classic, Pitt-Greensburg was bested by Greensboro College, 101-62.
The Bobcats finish their 2015 portion of the schedule at 6-4 overall.
On Wednesday night, UPG again struggled to find their rhythm from the floor, shooting just 35% and an uncharacteristic 5 of 22 from the three point range.
The Bobcats once again kept it close at the half, trailing 45-35 but then couldn't get it going in the second half, hitting just 1 of 7 from three point range.
Greensboro kept on the offensive, largely in part to their strong advantage on the boards, outrebounding the Bobcats 57-36 on the night.
Pitt-Greensburg was led offensively by Jerell Figueroa who had a team-high 10 points. Fellow senor Rocco Contristano added 8 points and 4 rebounds while sophomore Matt Darby picked up 5 steals on the defensive end.
UPG will return to the court in 2016 when they resume AMCC play on January 6
th at Franciscan University. Tip-off is set for 6pm.
