ERIE- The Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball team split its two matches on Saturday as it defeated Penn State-Behrend 3-0, but fell to D'Youville in the second match on the day.
The victory for Pitt-Greensburg over Penn State Behrend was the first victory for the Bobcats over the Lions since 2005.With the split, Pitt-Greensburg is now 6-17 overall and 3-3 in the AMCC.
Renee' Ault and
Lauren Tassone paced the Bobcat attack with 19 kills, while defensively
Erica Bosh totaled 13 digs, Ault had 18 and
Elizabeth Gerda had 17. Leading the way for Pitt-Greensburg in the victory over Behrend was senior
Paige Misawic, who had a season-high 37 assists that led to 43 kills for the match.
As a team, the Bobcats had one of their best games of the season against Behrend hitting at a blistering .226% clip, while totaling 17 kills in both the first and third sets.
Pitt-Greensburg returns to the court on Tuesday, when it takes to the road to face Penn State Altoona at 7:00 p.m.
