HIRAM, Ohio- The Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball team dropped 3-0 decisions to Denison and Hiram in non-conference matches on Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats fell 25-19, 25-7, and 25-13 to Denison in the first of two games on the afternoon and were defeated by Hiram 25-16, 25-23, and 25-10.
Pitt-Greensburg was without two of its best players as
Emma Dongilli and
Erica Bosh missed the match with injuries.
Against the Big Red,
Renee' Ault and
Lauren Tassone each had five kills to lead the Bobcats while defensively
Paige Misawic led the way with 14 assists and 12 digs. Tassone chipped in with three blocks while Ault and Burk also added eight digs.
It was Tassone that paced the offensive attack for the Bobcats against the Terriers with seven kills and right behind her were Ault and Burk who added six and four kills respectively. Misawic was stellar on defense with 20 assists and 10 digs.
Kassi Niver had a nice game for Pitt-Greensburg adding eight digs for the match.
Pitt-Greensburg returns to the court next Saturday (Oct. 15) when it travels to Erie for two AMCC matches. The Bobcats will take on Penn State Behrend at 10:00 a.m. and D'Youville at 2:00 p.m.
