GREENSBURG- The Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball team defeated Penn State Altoona 3-0 in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match Tuesday night in Chambers Hall.

Pitt-Greensburg put together one of its best offensive outputs of the season totaling 37 kills with only 13 errors on 93 attempts for a season-high .258 hitting percentage.
The Bobcats put the match away with its best performance of the night in the final set, posting a game-high 15 kills on 31 attempts, with just three errors for a sparkling .387 clip.
Autumn Karlheim paced the offensive attack with 12 kills and a .375 hitting percentage, while
Marissa Leonard added eight kills and
Rayli Turek and
Amanda Ross each totaled six.
Emma Dongilli assisted on 32 of Pitt-Greensburg 34 kills and also added a match-high three service aces. Senior libero
Erica Bosh totaled a game-high 15 digs and also put on a serving display totaling two service aces.
The opening set between the two teams was back and forth, but a kill from Pitt-Greensburg gave the home side a 16-14 advantage and forced Penn State Altoona to take its first timeout.
After the timeout, the Bobcats continued their sparkling play and reeled off four of the next six points to take a 20-16 advantage and would go on to win the opening set 25-18.
The Lions came out in the second set and jumped out to a 7-2 lead before Kylynn Smith would call for a timeout.
Pitt-Greensburg regrouped in the timeout and would come all the way back and eventually tie the second set at 16, before taking the lead at 20-18. The Bobcats would complete the comeback and take the second set 25-20.
The third set was all Pitt-Greensburg as it posted a .387 hitting percentage, compared to just .094 and the Bobcats would take the third set 25-17 and record the 3-0 win over the Lions.
