GREENSBURG- A 17-0 run over the final 3:23 of the first half, lifted Hilbert to an 82-71 win over the Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team Saturday afternoon in Chambers Hall.

Pitt-Greensburg would play inspired basketball in the first half which resulted in five highlight reel blocks. The Bobcats raced out to a 36-25 advantage with 3:23 left in the opening half, but Hilbert responded with a 17-0 run over the remainder of the period and took a 42-36 lead into the locker room.
The Hawks would lead for the entire second half with their largest lead coming with 1:55 left on three shots from the free-throw line by Kirkland Ottey.
Pitt-Greensburg would get as close as four points midway through the second half but Hilbert held off the Bobcats for the victory.
Jay Grubb led the way for Pitt-Greensburg scoring a game-high 18 points, while
Cody Spaid added 14 on 7-of-12 attempts from the field.
Kyle Bondi and
Joe Mancinieach also added 13 points.
Derek Carman, Otter and Nicholas Parucki each tallied 16 points to pace the Hawks offensive, while Jalen Smith added 15 points, five rebounds, four steals, and dished out three assists.
Pitt-Greensburg shot the ball well on the afternoon connecting on 46.2% from the field and held Hilbert to just 36.8%, but the Hawks managed to connected on 19-of-21 from the free-throw line and hold the Bobcats to just 5-of-7.
The Bobcats return to action Wednesday when they host La Roche for the final regular-season home game. Wednesday's tip is set for 8:00 p.m.
