Strong Second Half Lifts Fransican Past Men’s Basketball

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio- The Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team fell 67-52 to Franciscan in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup Wednesday evening.

Pitt-Greensburg held a 26-25 lead heading into halftime, but Fransican used a big second half to propel it to the win. The Barons shot 16-of-31 from the field for a 51.6% clip and outscored the Bobcats 42-26 in the second half of play.

Kyle Bondi led the way for the Bobcats with 11 points and also added four steals, while Joe Mancini knocked down three attempts from behind the three-point arc in 33 minutes of action. Brady Kingston provided a nice lift off the bench for the Bobcats with six points, all of which came from behind the three-point arc.

The Bobcats held the Barons to just 20% from the field in the first 20 minutes of action while connecting on 8-of-24, but the second half was a different story as Franciscan knocked down 16-of-31, while holding the Bobcats to just 8-of-31.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to the court Saturday when it hosts Hilbert at 3:00 p.m. Prior to Saturday's tip, senior Brandon Miller will be honored for Senior recognition.
