HAMBURG, N.Y.- The Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team (6-16, 4-12 AMCC) dropped an 84-58 decision to Hilbert (15-8, 11-5 AMCC), Saturday afternoon in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup inside the Hafner Recreation Center.

Hilbert shot 51% for the game, making 33-of-65 from the floor. The Hawks connected on 18-of-33 for 55% in the opening half, en route to a 41-25 lead at halftime. Pitt-Greensburg made 9-of-28 (32%) attempts in the opening half, but despite shooting 30% over the final 20 minutes, the Bobcats were outscored by just 10, as they utilized the foul line to their advantage, making 9-of-11.

Cam Seigfreid led the way offensively, totaling 13 points on 4-of-13 from the floor, and made all five attempts from the free-throw line. Jay Grubb, Nate Burt, and Nick Kotecki each chipped in with seven points each, while Burt aided in the defensive effort totaling two blocks, increasing his season total 43, which ranks second in the AMCC. Kyle Bondi and Grubb each led the effort on the boards with six rebounds.

Hilbert placed four place in double-figures, led by Antonio Alvarez, who notched a game-high 29 points, which included a perfect 7-for-7 from behind the three-point arc. Masia Phillips and Joeseh Braniecki each totaled 13 points, while David Arlaud added 10, to round out the double-digit scorers for the Hawks.

Hilbert opened the game on a 14-3 lead over the first four minutes of the contest, but the Bobcats chipped away at the deficit and got within six, 19-13 on a jumper by Burt, but Hilbert proceeded to reel off a 9-0 run and led 41-25 at halftime.

Pitt-Greensburg made four three-pointers over the final 20 minutes and went 9-of-11 from the free-throw line, but Hilbert would prevail 84-58.

The Bobcats take to the road Wednesday for their final regular-season road contest at La Roche, before returning home next Saturday to host Pitt-Bradford in the regular-season finale. Wednesday's game is set for a 6 pm start, while Saturday against Bradford is set for 2 pm.
