Men's Basketball Drops AMCC Matchup At La Roche

PITTSBURGH- JoJo France scored a team-high 20 points, but the Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team fell 92-72 to La Roche in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup, Wednesday evening inside the Kerr Fitness Center.

France posted the team-high 20 points on 7-of-10 from the floor and knocked down 4-of-7 attempts from behind the three-point arc. France was held to just four points in the opening half of action, but caught fire after halftime, hitting all five of his shot attempts as well as four three-pointers, en route to the 16-point total after the break.

Nick Kotecki gave Pitt-Greensburg some great production off the bench posting eight points on 2-of-3 from the floor and also grabbed two rebounds.
Three players reached double-figures for La Roche, led by Zach Gould's game-high 24 points, 18 of which came from three-point distance.

Pitt-Greensburg shot the ball well on the evening, hitting 25-of-55 from the floor, but La Roche was even better connecting on 34-of-69 and drilled 13 three-pointers compared to eight for Pitt-Greensburg.

The Bobcats started the game on a 12-2 run over the opening five minutes of the first half, which was capped by Cam Seigfreid's free-throws. The Redhawks chipped away at the deficit and would take their first lead at 24-22 on a three-pointer by Caden Kryz with 8:11 remaining until halftime.

Following Kyle Bondi's layup with just under three minutes left in the half to put the Bobcats within six (34-28), La Roche reeled off a 9-2 run over the remainder of the period and led 43-30 at the halftime break.

Pitt-Greensburg drilled eight three-pointers in the second half, but La Roche shot 51.4% after halftime and would go on for a 92-72 win.

The Bobcats return to the court Saturday afternoon, when they welcome Pitt-Bradford to Chambers Hall. Saturday's tip-off is set for 4 pm.
