Women’s Volleyball Falls In Four-Set Battle At Medaille

BUFFALO, N.Y.- Mackenzie Schropp tied a career-high with 14 kills, but the Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball team lost 3-1 at Medaille Saturday afternoon.

Pitt-Greensburg won the opening set 27-25, but Medaille rallied and would win the next three sets by scored of 25-17, 27-25, 27-25.

As a team, the Bobcats tallied 40 kills on 192 attacks for a .057 hitting percentage, while Medaille posted 55 kills on 201 swings for a .129 attack percentage.

Schropp posted a game-high 14 kills to pace the Bobcat attacked, followed by 10 from Emma Halutick and seven by Alexis Ray. Emma Dongilli recorded 32 assists and 18 digs, while senior libero Kassi Niver led the team with a season-high 36 digs.

Defensively, Ray led the way with three blocks, followed by two each from Dongilli and Zoe Sheffler.

Pitt-Greensburg returns to the court Tuesday evening, when it travels to Pittsburgh to face La Roche at 7 pm.
