Pitt-Greensburg never trailed in their first win of the season. The Bobcats started strong with a 4-0 run right out of the gate forcing a Bearcats timeout less than a minute in. SVC scored a basket out of the timeout and the teams traded baskets for the next minute.

Seigfreid got to the line and connected on two free throws at the 17:49 mark in the first half to begin a two-minute 7-0 run. The run was capped off by the man who started it. The Harrison City native had a steal and lay in to put the Bobcats ahead 15-4.

David Runco made the Pitt-Greensburg lead 17 points when he connected on a three pointer with seven minutes left in the first half. About three minutes later Seigfreid created the largest margin, 45-22, of the first half on a fast break score. UPG possessed a 19 point, 52-33, advantage at the first half horn.

SVC tried to fight back and got on a five-point run early in the second half, but the Bobcats put a halt to that. The next five points were scored by Pitt-Greensburg, including a three pointer by Matt Johnson to get the lead back to 20 points.

Runco struck again from distance with 7:40 left in the game to give UPG their largest lead of the game at 28 points. The margin was achieved twice. The second came a minute later on a lay-up by Seigfreid making it 84-56.

The Bobcats outrebounded the Bearcats 41-27 and out shot the home side 56% to 37% from the field. This was UPG's first win over the crosstown rival since the Bobcats joined the NCAA in 1997.
