@Pittgbgbaseball Ends Florida Trip With Loss To #25 Wheaton (Mass)

AUBURNDALE, Fla- The Pitt-Greensburg baseball team had its offense stifled Wednesday afternoon, totaling just two hits in a 10-0 loss to Wheaton (Mass), in its final game in Florida. 

Wheaton ended Wednesday's matchup ranked #25 in the country. 

Pitt-Greensburg starter Andy Prentice held Wheaton in check through four innings, giving up just two runs on seven hits and struck out a season-best five batters. The Lyons led just 2-0 through four innings, but the nationally ranked squad posted six runs over the final innings and would hold on for the 10-0 victory. 

Ben Green, who batted leadoff for the Bobcats, collected a hit for Pitt-Greensburg, while Tyler Holland also had a base-knock

Pitt-Greensburg returns to action Monday afternoon (March 18) when it travels to Frostburg State for a single nine-inning contest slated for a 3pm start. Frostburg enters Monday's matchup with a perfect 10-0 record.
