Johnson Named to All-Tournament Team; Bobcats Fall in Consolation Game

Box Score The Bobcat Men's Basketball Team had a rematch with the Presidents of Washington & Jefferson on Saturday in the consolation game of the Juniata Tip-Off Tournament. Matt Johnson led the way for the Bobcats with 19 points, however Pitt-Greensburg fell to W&J 102-88.
 
Johnson was named to the all-tournament team for his stellar performances the past two days. On top of his 19 points, Johnson also had five rebounds, four steals and two assists. JoJo France, Lukas Swartz, and Tommy Arbuckle also scored in double-digits for Pitt-Greensburg.
 
Like in the first meeting. Both teams struggled with the other's pressure as there were 49 turnovers combined between he two teams.  W&J was able to score 30 points off turnovers while Pitt-Greensburg was able to net 28. Washington & Jefferson won the game in the paint, like in the first game, scoring 50 points inside. The Bobcats were able to make some things happens as well, scoring 38 points in the paint. W&J also out rebounded the Bobcats 44-28.
 
Pitt-Greensburg was able to jump out to a quick lead in the first half, with its largest lead of 13 points coming with 12:38 remaining in the first half. This is the largest lead that the Bobcats have jumped out to so far this season. W&J was able to tally back and take a 17-point lead of its own with just over two minutes left in the game.
 
The Bobcats will take on Bethany College in its last tune-up game before they open up conference play against Hilbert on December 4th. Pitt-Greensburg will also travel to Ohio to play in an exhibition against Malone University on November 27th.
