Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer extend Win Streak to Four in Thrilling OT Winner

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Men's Soccer team continued its winning ways, extending its win streak to four games in a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory over Wilson College. The Bobcats were led on the goal sheet by Javin Melvin, Bryce Weber, and Vinny Treonze who each found the back of the net.

Pitt-Greensburg fell behind early, giving up two goals to Wilson in a spirited first half by the Phoenix. Wilson controlled the pace of the game and possession. However, this would not last into the second half. Wilson was down a number of players and only played three subs while UPG used six subs, showing the team's depth.

The Bobcats dominated the second half, with all the team's goals coming after the 62nd minute. Wilson was just hanging on by a thread with their its tired bodies. Melvin scored in the 63rd minute to start the offensive explosion. Then, with less than two minutes left, Bryce Weber was able to capitalize on the lack of energy for the Phoenix and net a game-tying goal on the 89th minute.

The momentum continued into overtime as the Bobcats dominated the possession game. Vinny Treonze was able to net the Golden Goal in the 99th minute to give UPG the win and extend the best start for the program in over a decade.

The Bobcats will be back in action on Monday when Marymount visits the Pitch at Ridilla Field. Kickoff is slated for 4:30 pm.
