Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls Against Defensive-Minded Marymount.

The Marymount University Saints made the trip from Washington D.C. to take on the Bobcats Men's Soccer team on the pitch at Ridilla Field. The Saints came out on top, making two first half goals stand tall, beating Pitt-Greensburg 2-0.

The match was a defensive battle with UPG letting only four shots get on goal while Marymount prevented all four of the Bobcats shots go off target. The Saints tallied 11 shots total.

Marymount scored their goals in the 18th and 30th minute. Nicholas Robles and Leonardo Torres found the back of the net for the Saints. Even without scoring, Marymount kept the pressure on Pitt-Greensburg, attempting four corner kicks in the second half.

Both teams played with their depth, as 39 players played in the match for both teams combined. 22 players played for Marymount alone. Adam Yoder, Ross Hartley, Javin Melvin, and Robert Reed all played the full 90 for the Bobcats. Jack Shirley paced the Bobcats in shots accumulating two out of the four shots total.

Shayne Kasic started in goal for UPG, with Danny Rodgers taking goal in the second half. Rodgers made two saves for the Bobcats.

Pitt-Greensburg will be in action this Wednesday when they travel to take on the Chatham Cougars. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
