Bobcats Fall Short at Chatham

After the program's best start in over a decade, the Bobcat Men's Soccer team dropped its second-straight game, this time to the Chatham Cougars. Pitt-Greensburg was blanked on the scoreboard 2-0.

The game was yet another defensive battle, with no goals being scored in the first half. Chatham was able to get 12 shots before halftime, compared to the Bobcats five shots. The Cougars finished with 19 shots, 11 being on goal while UPG finished with ten shots, half of those getting on target.

Chatham's Pascal Despinos put two goals past Danny Rodgers in the second half, propelling the Cougars to the victory. Rodgers had a healthy showing, saving 9 of the 11 shots he faced.

Six different Bobcats recorded shots in the match, with the five shots on goal all coming from different players. Carson Gilarno, Jack Shirley, Jason Argueta, and Javin Melvin each recorded two shots for UPG.

Gilarno, Ross Hartley, Robert Reed, and Connor Knipp all played the full 90 minutes for Pitt Greensburg. Brian Seidl and Javin Melvin led the charge off the bench, playing 65 minutes each.
