Women's Soccer Routs Medaille In AMCC Opener

BUFFALO, NY - The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg women's soccer team made a trip to Medaille College this afternoon to open Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play, and came home with a dominating, 9-0 win.

The Bobcats improve to 6-0 on the season.

Emily Bonelli highlighted the high powered Bobcat offense with four goals, doubling her season total to eight.

Pitt Greensburg out-shot the Mavericks 66-3 over the 90 minutes. The pressure was kept on by the Bobcats, as they got 11 corner kicks and did not allow a single one.

Tiffany Michalek got the scoring going in the second minute, and the Bobcats would not stop.

14 minutes later, Ashley Lucas netted two goals over a two minute span.

Alexz Rosser and Logan Jennings netted their first goals of the season in the first half.

Becca Kubler and Michalek paced the passing game with two assists each, while Alexsia Barlamas and Lucas dished out one apiece.

The Bobcats will look to continue their hot start to the season on Tuesday, with a non-conference matchup at Geneva College. Kick off is slated for 5 pm.
