Gilarno Contributes Three Assist in Win over Greater Allegheny

YOUNGWOOD, PA - The Bobcats called the field at Westmoreland County Community College home on Sunday in its 3-1 win over Penn State Greater Allegheny. The Bobcats were lead by Captain Carson Gilarno in the physical battle against the Lions.
 
Pitt-Greensburg put pressure on PSUGA early and often, tallying 15 shots in the game with eight getting on goal. UPG was able to hold the Lions to six shots over the 90 minutes with just two shots getting on goal. The match got physical in the second half, with ten fouls being called on both teams combined.
 
The Bobcats were led in the scoring sheet by Jack Shirley, Justin Williams, and Connor Knipp who each found the back of the net. Gilarno got the assist on each of the three goals.
 
Abdi Abdalla got in the score sheet for the Lions with a pretty bicycle kick in the 86th minute. Greater Allegheny ramped up the pressure at the end of the second half, however, the Bobcats were able to hold and take the match to improve to 2-1-1 .

The Bobcats will take the pitch on Wednesday when they travel to Saint Vincent to take on the Bearcats. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
