Pitt-Greensburg Women's Volleyball Drops Match to Chatham

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Women's Volleyball team traveled to Chatham and lost a three-set match to the Cougars. The set scores were 25-21, 25-11, and 25-9.
 
The beginning of the first set left the two teams battling for control with the score being tight throughout the whole set. The Bobcats were able  to take a 21-17 lead late in the action, only for Chatham to come roaring back and score the final eight points to take the set.
 
The second set went the Cougars way, scoring the first nine points against the Bobcats before Pitt-Greensburg was able to score a point on a service error by Chatham. The Cougars continued to gain momentum and keep control of play winning the set by a score of 25-11. 
 
The third set was much of the same with Chatham jumping out to a 10-3 lead and not looking back. The Cougars extended the lead to 18-4 with a flurry of kills by the Cougars. UPG was able to rattle off three straight points, however, the Bobcats were not able to get within striking distance with the final score of the deciding set being 25-9. 
 
The Bobcats accumulated 13 kills over the three sets combined and 12 attack errors. Abby Copeland led the defensive stand for Pitt-Greensburg with 11 digs. 
 
The Bobcats match against Franciscan, scheduled for Set. . 8 has been canceled without a makeup date at this moment. UPG will travel to Penn State Greater Allegheny this Saturday to play in two matches against Penn State Greater Allegheny and Waynesburg.
