Men's Soccer Drops Finals Regular Season Match to Mount Aloysius

GREENSBURG – Two goals by the Mount Aloysius top goal scorer led the Mounties to a 2-0 win over the Bobcats on Tuesday. With the loss, the Bobcats will now host the Penn State-Altoona Lions on Saturday at 2 PM.

The Mounties tallied 15 shots with seven of them getting on goal, while the Bobcats were only able to record two shots in the match. Junior keeper Danny Rodgers saved five of the seven shots he faced. The match was a physical one, as there were 19 fouls called on the teams combined with four yellow cards.

Freshman Zander Plizga recorded both shots for the Bobcats as he and five other starters played the full 90. Bryce Weber led the way off the bench as he played 50 minutes in reserve while Jeff Stritzl and Jason Argueta both played 40 minutes.

All focus will go to this Saturday as the Bobcats will host an AMCC playoff game for the first time since 2014.
