Kasic Earns First Career Shutout; Bobcats Defeat Hood 1-0

FREDERICK, MD – And the beat goes on! Bobcat Men's Soccer extended it's win streak to four games today as they defeated the Blazers of Hood College 1-0. Vinny Treonze scored his third goal of the season for the only tally of the game to help the Bobcats wrap up conference play.

Junior Shayne Kasic started his first match of the 2022 campaign and earned the first solo shutout of his career. Kasic was part of a combined shutout against La Roche in the 2021 season. The Blazers recorded ten shots with five of those shots getting on net. Pitt-Greensburg went for quality over quantity, recording three shots on goal with one getting past the Hood keeper.

Treonze recorded two of the three shots on goal with Lucas Killen recording the other. Reigning AMCC Player of the Week, Caleb Yuricha, had two shots in 90 minutes. Freshman Zander Plizga came off the bench and recorded two shots in 73 minutes while junior Jason Argueta also recorded a shot off the bench.

Sophomore midfielder Ross Hartley also came in as a reserve and tallied the assist on the Treonze goal. Plizga and Hartley led the way off the bench, playing 73 and 64 minutes respectively.

The Bobcats will return to conference play on Saturday when the Pioneers of Alfred State come to Greensburg. It will also be Senior Day for the Bobcats.
