Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball Falls to Franciscan

STEUBENVILLE – The Bobcat men's basketball team traveled this morning to take part in a weekend matinee against the Barons of Franciscan. Unfortunately for Pitt-Greensburg, the Barons stole the show late in the second half and took the victory 93-82.

The Franciscan takeover was in large part due to stingy defense and shooting over 66 percent from behind the arc in the second half, making eight out of 12 shots taken. The Barons had two players score over 20 points in Travis Lien and Colton Hage.

The Bobcats shot over 42 percent from behind the arc in the first half, however, they cooled down tremendously in the second half, making just three shots. Pitt-Greensburg also only got to the free-throw line three times in the second half. A positive for Pitt-Greensburg is that they dominated the paint with 44 points in the paint. The team also had its best bench output of the season, however 36 of the 45-bench points came from Priah and Micah Jones. Priah has started every game for the Bobcats up until this point.

The Bobcats will be off for finals and not come back to game action until after Christmas when they will play in the Juniata Christmas Tournament.
