Baseball Suffers Rough Loss to Muskingum

GREENSBURG, PA – It was a rough day for the Bobcats baseball team as it lost to the Fighting Muskies of Muskingum. The Muskies scored multiple runs in the second, fourth and eighth inning dooming the Bobcats from any hopes of coming back in the game.
 
Notables
-Hunter Gideons, Christian Kubacka and Randy Hubbard all had doubles for the Bobcats.
-Chandler Goodwin hit a solo home run in the seventh inning.
-Brody Bonadio had two hits for Pitt-Greensburg to lead the team.
-Gideons had two walks and got on base a total of three times.
-Alex Bandera Jr., Steven Muratore, Collyn Flynn, Zach Russell and Drizzt Maxwell combined for five innings of relief and gave up just two earned runs.
 
The Muskies offense came to play on Thursday, recording 23 hits in the nine-inning game. Muskingum scored nine runs in the second, eight runs in the fourth and six runs in the eighth to put the game completely out of reach for UPG. The Bobcats showed fight scoring runs in the second, fourth and seventh inning. Goodwin's home run in the seventh inning was the first for the Bobcats at home this season.
