Baseball Still Seeking First Win After Getting Swept By Ursinus

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The Pitt-Greensburg baseball team is still looking to get in the win column after dropping its second doubleheader of the team's spring trip. The Bobcats lost a pair to the Bears of Ursinus by the scores of 14-0 and 5-1.
 
Notables
 
Jacob Davey had four hits over the two games in six total at bats.
• Mikey Sullivan had the longest outing of the young season for the Bobcats in game two, tossing six innings with five strikeouts and two walks.
Brody Bonadio had two doubles on the day.
Christopher Hammond drove in the lone run for the Bobcats, double in Jace Cappellini.
 
Game 1
 
Zackary Maritz started got the start in the first game of the day for the Bobcats. Maritz went three innings and gave up 8 runs while recording two strikeouts. Alex Borges and Collyn Flynn came in for relief and gave up six runs of their own. The Bears strung together 16 hits over the course of the game for an offensive explosion.
 
Game 2
 
Game two had a strong showing by Mikey Sullivan who went 5.1 innings and recorded five strikeouts. The Bobcats offense was able to record nine hits in the second game, with Randy Hubbard, Hammond, and Jacob Davey accounting for six of those nine hits. Devin Renzi came in to finish the game for UPG, pitching 1.2 innings and he did not give up a run.
