Eight Run First Inning Mauls Bobcats against Penn State Berks

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – An eight run first inning doomed the Bobcats from the start against Penn State Berks in a single 9 inning game today. Tyler Starvaggi took the loss in his first collegiate start. The Bullpen was able to hold the damage to just three runs in the other eight innings, however, the Bobcat offense stayed dormant. Six Bobcats came into relief and pitched a combined 8.2 innings.

•Reed Bursic pitched two scoreless innings while giving up just one hit.
• Drizzt Maxwell and Steven Muratore both had multiple strikeouts in the game.
