Late Inning Woes Doom Bobcats

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – A four-run ninth inning sank the Bobcats in the team's final game of the spring trip yesterday. The offense came alive, however, it was not enough as UPG lost to Manhattanville 9-7. The Bobcats hit three home runs in the game and scored the most runs of its season so far.

Notables

Hunter Gideons and Brody Bonadio had three hits each, including a Bonadio home run.
Jacob Davey was patient at the plate, drawing two walks.

The bats came alive in the final game in Myrtle for the Bobcats, as the team out hit Manhattanville 16 to 8. The Bobcats put up crooked numbers in the third and sixth inning, including four runs in the third. A four-run ninth in which the final three runs were unearned hurt the Bobcats and prevented them from its first win of the season. Will Thorp took the loss for UPG as he gave up four runs, one earned in the ninth inning.
