Bobcats Fall to Waynesburg in Four Sets

WAYNESBURG – For the third straight evening, a Pitt-Greensburg athletics team traveled to Waynesburg. This time, it was women's volleyball who traveled south to take on the Jackets. The Bobcats fell to Waynesburg 3-1.
 
The first three sets were decided by two points, with Waynesburg taking the first set 26-24 and the final two sets being decided by the score of 25-23 as the Jackets and Bobcats split the second and third set. Waynesburg took control early in the fourth set and defeated Pitt-Greensburg 25-16 to end the Bobcat's night.
 
Senior Emma Halutick had another strong night with 13 kills and 12 digs. Freshman Sidney Haysley also played well with ten kills and 15 digs. Sophomore Abby Copeland had a team leading and career-high 37 digs for Pitt-Greensburg. Junior Kaylee George led the team in assists with 21.
 
The Bobcats have a busy weekend ahead as they travel to Buffalo for three matches. UPG will play Bluffton twice, once on Friday and once on Saturday, as well as Buffalo State on Saturday.
