Women's Volleyball Fall in First Match of Bengals Classic

BUFFALO, NY – The Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball team was back in action tonight, playing its first of two matches this weekend against Bluffton. The Bobcats fell to the Beavers 3-1.
 
Bluffton took the first two sets of the match, winning in a way that the Bobcats haven't fell victim to much this season, with the deficit combined from both games being 15 points. UPG was able to take the third set to extend the match, however, the Beavers were able to finish off the Bobcats in the fourth set by a score of 25-18.
 
Chloe Lukondi set the tone for the Bobcat offense with 11 of the team's 41 kills. Emma Halutick and Sidney Haysley also contributed with ten kills each. Haysley also played well on defense, leading the team with 12 digs. Kaylee George has 20 of the Bobcats' 39 assists.
 
Pitt-Greensburg will stay in Buffalo over night and play two matches tomorrow. There will be a rematch with Bluffton at 1:30 followed by a match against Buffalo State at 3:30.
