Men's Soccer Plays to Third-Straight Draw

GREENSBURG – Men's Soccer played to their third-consecutive draw, this time with no scoring for both teams, playing to a 0-0 draw with the Beavers of Bluffton on Saturday.

The Bobcats' chances were numbered, but they did have some quality ones as they had four shots with one getting on goal. The Beavers came out firing, recording ten shots in the first half, however, UPG was able to settle down the pace, giving up just three shots in the second half.

Junior Keeper Danny Rodgers made three saves for the Bobcats and was a vocal leader on the field throughout the match. Adam Yoder, Ross Hartley and Robert Reed were the only three Bobcats besides the keeper to play the full 90. Freshman Zander Plizga led the way for the Bobcats off the bench, playing 68 minutes as a reserve.

UPG will play again on Sunday as they host Saint Vincent in a rescheduled game from Labor Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 PM.
