Men's Basketball Comeback Fall Just Short; Drop Game to Altoona

GREENSBURG, PA – In a night that saw the Lions of Penn State Altoona take a 24 point lead over Pitt-Greensburg, the Bobcats came storming back and brought the game within one point, however, Altoona proved to be too much as they Lions defeated the Bobcats 79-75.
 
Pitt-Greensburg had two scorers over 20 points with JoJo France scoring a game-high 27 and Matthew Marinchak dropping 20 as well. Robbie Hicks scored a team-high 19 points for Altoona while shooting 8-for12 from the floor. The Lions went 7-for-19 from behind the arc while the Bobcats shot 36 three-pointers, only making 12.
 
Penn State Altoona also out rebounded the Bobcats 41-29, with 16 of those rebounds being on the offensive end. Altoona shot close to 50 percent from the floor for the game, shooting over 55 percent in the first half. A positive for the Bobcats is that the team shot 85 percent from the free-throw line, missing just three foul shots.
 
The Bobcats will have another tough test on Saturday when Penn State Behrend comes to Chambers Hall. Tip -off will be at 2 PM.
