RedHawks Hit Last-Second Layup to Down Bobcats

PITTSBURGH – The Bobcat men's basketball team knew it was going to be in yet another tough game as the team took on La Roche in their gym on Wednesday. This game comes after Pitt-Greensburg came within four points of beating Altoona and defeating Behrend by three on Saturday.
 
It was yet another close game as the RedHawks scored a layup as time expired to defeat the Bobcats on Scott Lang Court. The Bobcats had a chance at the end of the game, however, a turnover with 5.8 seconds left gave La Roche the chance to end the game and hey succeeded with a Michael Brooks layup.
 
Octavius Hardy led the way for the Bobcats, recording a 20-point, 11-rebound double-double. JoJo France and Reggie Priah also scored in double-figures for the Bobcats. Pitt-Greensburg shot 48 percent from the floor and had 38 points in the paint.
 
Both the Bobcats and the RedHawks combined or just 17 turnovers in the game with the teams combined scoring just 17 points off those turnovers. The RedHawks only went to the line six times in the game while the Bobcats shot 16 shots from the free-throw line.
 
The Bobcats will travel north on Saturday to take on the Panthers of Pitt-Bradford. Tip off will be at 2 PM.
