Bobcats Rally Past Pioneers for First AMCC Win

ALFRED, NY – The Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team earned its first conference win of the season in a 78-65 win over the Pioneers of Alfred State. JoJo France scored a game-high 26 points and surpassed Rocco Contristano for second on the Bobcat men's basketball all-time scoring list. France has now score 1,550 career points in a Pitt-Greensburg uniform.
 
Bobcat junior Reggie Priah also had a big game against Alfred State, scoring 22 points and securing five rebounds. Freshman Armend Karpuzi went 3-for-5 from behind the arc and scored 11 points to round out the Bobcats in double-figures.
 
Pitt-Greensburg had just ten turnovers in the game while forcing the Pioneers into 15 turnovers. The Bobcats scored 19 points off those turnovers.
 
It was a close game throughout, with the Bobcats leading by just six at half. Pitt-Greensburg ended up pulling away in the final frame, taking their largest lead of 15 with 13 seconds left in the game.
 
The men's team will be back in Chambers Hall this Wednesday as they host AMCC heavyweight Penn State Altoona. Tip off will be at 7 PM.
