Friess' Record-Setting Night Electrify Chambers Hall

GREENSBURG – It was a five-set thriller between the Pitt-Greensburg Volleyball team and the Carlow Celtics on Wednesday. It was the first match to go the full five sets for the Bobcats since the final match of the 2022 season, and the first in Chambers Hall since the final match of the 2021 season. The Bobcats came out behind a fierce 26-kill performance by Madison Friess. The 26 kills mark the second most in a match in Pitt-Greensburg history.
 
Senior Kaylee George was setting up her hitters all night as she recorded 42 assists. Friess also had 27 digs on the evening. Friess became the first Bobcat in program history to record 20-plus kills and 20-plus digs in a match. The Bobcats recorded a .130 attack percentage their tops of the season.
 
100-plus fans packed Chambers Hall for an electric atmosphere and helped will the Bobcats to victory. The Bobcats will travel to Erie this weekend to take on PS Behrend and Oberlin in a tri match on the Behrend campus. The Bobcats will play the Lions in an AMCC matchup at 12 PM followed by a 2 PM first serve against Oberlin.
