Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Alfred State Halts Men's Basketball

ALFRED, NY – It was an offensive struggle for the Bobcat Men's Basketball team as the team was able to score just 26 points in the first half against the Pioneers of Alfred State who zoned in on leading scorer Trent Rozich and held him to just nine points of four field goal attempts. Matthew Marinchak and James Evans-Mcquay combined for 31 of the Bobcats 68 points while shooting a combined 32 shots.

Marinchak led the team with 17 shots while Mcquay shot 15. The rest of the Bobcats combined for 32 shots between the eight players. Marinchak played a team high 32 minutes. Even with the lack of shots, Rozich still made an impact scoring nine points and bringing down 11 boards while shooting 7-of-10 from the free throw line.

The Bobcats will be completing their fall semester classes this week with finals and will return to the court next Saturday as they travel to Fredrick, MD to take on Hood. The teams played in an exciting game last season that saw Marinchak hit nine three-pointers, a program record.
