Bowling Has Strong Showing in Day One of Grapevine Classic

ERIE - There is a chill in the air which means winter is coming, and it is already here for the first of our winter sports teams as the Pitt-Greensburg women's bowling team traveled to Erie to take part in the Grapevine Classic. The team had a strong showing in day one, winning three out of five matches, including two against conference foes in Pitt-Bradford and Hilbert.

The Bobcats scored in the 800s three times, winning two of those instances. The day-high of 885 came against Ursuline in a win for the Bobcats. The team was led bby its senior class as they combined for four games in the 200s, led by Kayla Gaughan who had the individual-high of 214 for the Bobcats. Bea Cook and Erica Moiss also had strong showings for the Bobcats. 

The Team will be back at it Sunday morning as they will compete in day two of the classic at Eastland Bowl in Erie.
