Baseball Drops Game to Washington and Jefferson

WASHINGTON – The Pitt-Greensburg baseball team took on the Presidents of Washington and Jefferson today as a Pre-Spring Break game. The Bobcats dropped the game to the Presidents 10-5.
 
Sophomore James Domer went 3-for-5 with three doubles, two runs batted in, and a run scored. Ben Aftanas, Colin Solinski and Thomas Smith also drove in runs for the Bobcats. Pitt-Greensburg went up 2-1 in the top of the third inning before a five run bottom of the inning put the Presidents up for good.
 
Aftanas started the game and went two innings for Pitt-Greensburg, giving up one earned run and struck out one.  Freshman Nicholas Laubach suffered the loss for the game. Calvin Bernard, Steven Muratore and Matt Mazzara also pitched in the game.
 
The Bobcats will travel south coming up this week to take part in the Russmatt Invitational. The Bobcats will play a doubleheader against John Carroll to start the trip on Friday. The first pitch will be at 12:15 pm.
