Baseball Falls to Calvin in High Scoring Affair

DAVENPORT, Fla.- Day two of Pitt-Greensburg Baseball's spring trip was an offensive explosion that saw 25 runs and 31 hits and five home runs over a nine inning game against the Calvin Knights. Eight runs in the final two innings of play for Calvin gave the Knights a 15-10 victory over the Bobcats.

The runs started early as Bobcat sophomore James Domer hit a two-run home run in as the third batter of the game. The Bobcats put up two more runs in the second inning to take a two-run lead. The Knights came back to take a 5-4 lead that then saw the Bobcats take an 8-5 lead. Ten runs in the final three innings for the Knights was all that was given up.

Four Bobcats had at least three hits, including Domer that went 4-for-6 on the day. Freshmen Wyatt Alridge and Zachary Tyson had three hits each while sophomore Left fielder Neo Miller had three hits and three runs scored from the lead off spot.

The Bobcats will play a night game tomorrow against the College of New Jersey at Lake Myrtle Park tomorrow at 6:15 pm.
