Men's Basketball Soars Past Behrend

GREENSBURG – A hot shooting day from the Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team that included shooting close to 50 percent from the floor, over 82 percent from the free-throw line, and six three-pointers helped the Bobcats come out on top against the Behrend Lions inside Chambers Hall. Matthew Marinchak scored 19 points, while Trent Rozich completed his first double-double, including assists. Rozich had 16 points and 10 assists and missed out on a triple-double by one rebound.
 
Joziah Wyatt-Taylor and Ty Keffer also had strong scoring games, with 15 and 10 points, respectively. The Bobcats had 15 assists to just nine turnovers. It was a clean game with just nine turnovers on each side. The first half set the tone for Pitt-Greensburg, as the team shot over 53 percent from the floor, 40 percent from behind the arc, and 80 percent from the free-throw line. The Bobcats could close it out by going to the free-throw line 18 times in the final frame, making 15 attempts.
 
The Bobcats will welcome Penn State Altoona to Chambers Hall on Wednesday in a battle of the AMCC elite. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m.
