Men's Basketball Shoots it's way Past Lions

GREENSBURG, PA – And the beat goes on! Make it nine wins in the last ten games, including three consecutive conference wins for the Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team as they handed Penn State Altoona its third conference loss of the season. Trent Rozich had an impactful game with 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Matthew Marinchak also had 15 points and seven rebounds while going 3-of-6 from behind the arc.
 
Freshmen Jahmir Collins and Ryan Kull stepped up in big minutes, scoring in double figures and hitting two three-pointers. Collins also had two blocks in the game and three assists. Senior Drew Tapscott had a key three-pointer in the second half to continue to swing momentum the Bobcats way. Pitt-Greensburg owned the glass against the Lions, out rebounding Altoona 40-30.
 
Overall, the Bobcats shot 50 percent from behind the arc and over 80 percent from the free throw line, including 9-of-11 in the second half. Eighteen points by the Pitt-Greensburg reserves also was key.
 
The Bobcats will head to New York on Saturday to take on the Pioneers of Alfred State. Tip-off will be at 1 p.m.
