Men's Basketball Continues Winning Ways

ALFRED, N.Y. – The Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team went on the road in AMCC play today and, yet again, put a tally in the win column as the Bobcats surged ahead of Alfred State and defeated the Pioneer 90-71. The game marked the third time this season that the Bobcats scored 90 points or more, including both games against Alfred State. Matthew Marinchak scored a team-high 20 points with six rebounds. Joziah Wyatt-Taylor put in 17 points with nine rebounds, while Ty Keffer and Trent Rozich scored 12 and 11, respectively.

Marinchak had 15 points come from behind the arc, as he went 5-for-11 from three-point land, while Keffer scored all 12 from deep. Four of Wyatt-Taylor's nine rebounds came on the offensive end.  Rozich led the team with eight assists, while the Bobcats had a season-high 25 assists. The Bobcats out-rebounded the Pioneers 40-34 and scored 15 second-chance points. As has been the theme for Pitt-Greensburg, the team's reserves stepped up and scored 28 points, including nine from Michael Bigley and six from Ryan Greggerson and Drew Tapscott. The Bobcats held the Pioneers to shooting 21 percent from behind the arc and just 24 field goals overall.

Pitt-Greensburg will travel to South Oakland on Wednesday to take on the Carlow Celtics. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m.
