Men's Basketball Keeps Win Streak Alive Against Hilbert

GREENSBURG, PA – You can make it five in a row for the Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team as they opened up the spring semester with an impressive victory over Hilbert, who came into the matchup second in the AMCC. Matthew Marinchak was in his scoring ways as he dropped a game-high 20 points on eight made baskets.
 
Jackson Byer also scored in double figures, recording an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double. Trent Rozich and Joziah Wyatt Taylor also had big games. Rozich scored 16 points with a season-high eight assists. Freshman Jahmir Collins also recorded a career-high off the bench, scoring nine points.
 
The Bobcats shot 53 percent from the floor and 88 percent from the free-throw line. They were flying in transition, outscoring the Hawks 27-6 in fast-break points. Pitt-Greensburg also scored 22 points off 15 Hilbert turnovers and recorded 19 assists to just 11 turnovers.
 
The Bobcats will welcome La Roche to Chamber Hall on January 15 for yet another crucial AMCC matchup. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m.
