Bobcats Sweep Penn State Beaver, End Losing Streak Ahead of AMCC Play

The Pitt-Greensburg women's volleyball team turned in a dominant performance Thursday night at Chambers Hall, sweeping Penn State Beaver in straight sets (25-11, 25-16, 25-19) to snap their losing streak and build momentum heading into Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) play.

The Bobcats were efficient and aggressive from the start, hitting .429 in the opening set and finishing the match with a season-best .313 attack percentage. Mia Stohon led the way with 15 kills on 28 attempts, hitting .429, while Ca'Mari Walden added six kills and a team-high .625 hitting percentage. Setter Lilly Buckles orchestrated the offense with 17 assists and chipped in five service aces and nine digs.

Pitt-Greensburg controlled the tempo throughout, limiting Penn State Beaver to just a.181 hitting percentage. The Bobcats also out-dug the visitors 35-31 and held a 13-3 advantage in service aces.

Head Coach Holly Saville praised her team's effort and resilience: "This win is a testament to the hard work our players have been putting in every day. We've been building toward this moment, and it's great to see it pay off. The energy tonight was fantastic, and we're excited to carry this positive momentum into conference play."

The Bobcats will open AMCC competition next week, hosting Carlow Tuesday for Dig Pink night. The game is scheduled for 7PM
