Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball put together a strong effort in an exhibition matchup Tuesday afternoon but fell 99-77 to Seton Hill at the McKenna Center. The game does not count toward the Bobcats' official record, yet provides valuable experience playing against a Division II opponent.
After trailing 46-33 at halftime, the Bobcats opened the second half with energy, cutting the deficit to single digits behind a three-pointer from Ty Keffer and a jumper by Matthew Marinchak. Seton Hill responded with a decisive run to maintain control and secure the win.
Trent Rozich paced Pitt-Greensburg with 19 points and nine rebounds, shooting 5-for-8 from the field and 7-for-9 at the line. Joziah Wyatt-Taylor added 16 points off the bench on 7-of-11 shooting, while Keffer chipped in nine points, all from beyond the arc. Jackson Byer anchored the paint with 15 rebounds and seven points.
Seton Hill was led by Rashaad Williams and Dimitrios Sklavenitis with 18 points each, while Edir Ortiz posted a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds.Â
Pitt-Greensburg remains on the road for one final non-conference tuneup Saturday as they travel to Geneva for a 2PM tip.Â
