The stakes are high as #2 Pitt-Greensburg (9-7-2, 6-1-1 AMCC) hosts #3 Alfred State (11-6, 6-2 AMCC) in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) semi-finals on Wednesday at 2 PM at Ridilla Field.
Pitt-Greensburg earned a first-round bye after finishing second in the regular season standings, while Alfred State advanced with a convincing 3-0 win over La Roche in Saturday's quarterfinal. Isabella Hoffmann led the Pioneers with two goals in that match, continuing her standout season with 12 total goals.
The Bobcats and Pioneers last met on October 25, when Pitt-Greensburg dominated in a 4-0 victory. Mia Camps recorded the shutout, while Maya Wertelet, Abby Ault, Emma Reyes, and Shaylene Ceruti each found the back of the net. Tiger Santia contributed two assists and anchored a defense that has allowed just one goal in conference play this season.
